Mengenal Processor Intel Sandy Bridge

Processor sebagai otak utama sistem personal komputer diproduksi oleh 2 perusahaan raksasa terkenal yaitu Intel dan AMD. Mereka selalu bersaing dalam mengembangkan teknologi masing-masing untuk memperebutkan pasar dunia. AMD telah mengGEBUK habis-habisan pesaing utamanya dengan lebih dulu meng-integrasikan GPU dan CPU dalam satu Silicon Die dari sebuah Processor x86. 

Tak mau ketinggalan kemudian Intel menciptakan processor baru dengan kode Sandy Bridge yang diluncurkan awal tahun 2011 ini. Hasil gemblengan sang mpu tersebut adalah suatu integrasi GPU ke dalam kemasan processor berbasis Clarksfield Core i3 dan core i5.

Sandy Bridge dikembangkan melalui teknologi 32nm dan diumumkan pada tanggal 3 Januari 2011 sebelum berlangsungnya Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2011. Dipadukan bersama Chipset P67, Sandy Bridge LGA 1155 menjanjikan performa terbaik. Varian pertama yang di-launching adalah Core i7 2600K, Core i5 2500K dan Core i5 2400. Berikut spesifikasinya :
