Gigabyte meluncurkan mainboard kelas tertingginya GA X79 UD7 untuk mendukung platform LGA2011. Gigabyte GA X79 UD7 didesain berbasis Chipset Intel X79 Express dan mendukung processor Sandy Bridge-E. Gigabyte GA X79 UD7 merupakan seri mainboard yang menampilkan fitur eksklusif 3D Power, semua hardware dan software berbasis Digital Power Engine untuk memastikan pasokan daya stabil ke PWM serta Memory.
Gigabyte menjadi industri pertama yang mempergunakan digital memory controller untuk memory, VTT dan VSA guna melakukan monitoring secara real time dan penyesuaian. Dengan digital memory controller ini memungkinkan user untuk memonitor, mencatat daya dan arus DDR secara real time pada saat memainkan game, overclocking ataupun idle. Disamping itu user juga dapat mengatur OVP (Over Voltage Protect) untuk menjaga memory, menyesuaikan kalibrasi load-line memory guna memperbaiki vdrooping memory sehingga diperoleh respon yang lebih cepat.
Gigabyte GA X79 UD7 hadir dengan form factor XL-ATX 32.4 cm x 25.3 cm mendukung quad channel memory DDR3, multi GPU 4-way NVIDIA SLI dan AMD CrossFireX. Support USB 3.0 serta tetap menjaga kompabilitas untuk USB 2.0. Untuk bagian storage, Gigabyte GA X79 UD7 juga memberikan dukungan SATA 6 Gbps dan SATA 3 Gbps.
